Hazardous Waste

For the constructor, today's complex legislation coupled with environmental and economic considerations, directly impact how businesses remove and dispose of hazardous waste. At London Rock, we will discuss step by step the procedures to identify, remove and dispose correctly.

Hazardous waste or hazardous muck away is defined as 'containing properties that may render it harmful to human health or the environment'. A diverse range of sources include asbestos, hydrocarbons, heavy metals and invasive plants.

Having identified the sources of contamination, using soil analysis reports where required, London Rock offer informed advice and ensure the best and most environmentally friendly solution for disposal of the contaminated waste.

A full break down of contaminators is provided allowing you to isolate and minimise contaminated soils to be moved off site. It should be noted that it is the waste producer’s responsibility to declare the amount of contamination.

All our processes are compliant with EA requirements and include the preparation and administration of EA consignment notes and, when beneficial, we will work with your own in-house team or external experts.

Hazardous waste can be removed by eight wheel tipper, grab wagon, artic or skip depending on site access and site restrictions.
