Produced from naturally occurring mineral deposits from across the country, all primary aggregates are supplied to Highway Works Specification.

Specific geology in areas of the United Kingdom form different types of hard stone making some materials more ecconomically viable in some areas than others. London Rock can advise you of which materials naturally occur in which areas.

Primary aggregates available from London Rock include, but are not limited to:

Sand
We have a wide range of sands available, including soft / building sand, sharp sand, fill sand, screening sand, washed concrete sand, washed plastering sand, thanet sand, marine sand and cable sand. Primary and recycled sand options available at competitive rates.
Gravel / Shingle
From washed primary 10mm and 20mm shingles, through to 40mm, our quarries provide a reliable, high quality and cost-effective source of gravels. Recycled alternatives available.
As Raised Ballast
High quality primary 10mm ballast and 20mm ballast for use in capping and backfill. London Rock has large sources of as dug / as raised ballast available from our quarries throughout the UK. All tested to highway specification as listed here.
Limestone
Crushed hard rock tested to highway specification as listed here.
Granite
Crushed hard rock tested to highway specification as listed here.
Hoggin
A mixed material (typically formed of clay, gravel, and sand) ideal for domestic and commercial uses, creating long-lasting pathways, driveways, minor roads and more.
Crushed Tarmac
